Greetings! I realize that a few of you visit this blog from time to time and, as I consider how long I’ve been inactive, felt that I owed you an apology. I have not been posting and, what may be worse, have not responded to various communications. I am truly sorry.
While I am not trying to excuse my lack of communications (well, on second thought, maybe I am…LOL), I had good intentions. I could feel myself burning out late last year and decided to take a mini vacation to help recharge my batteries. I used this as an opportunity to spend more time walking, playing and traveling with Mackenzie. We explored new parks, destroyed many, many toys and went for a 1,200 road trip. It was great. I was recharged and ready to come back better than ever (well, at least as good as before)…or so I thought. It was during this down time that my wife informed me that our family would be expanding by one (two legged) member. This was obviously exciting news and caused me to extend my vacation a bit more while we starting planning for our new addition. Well, we had some tense moments and realized that our daughter was growing impatient. Instead of waiting for her due date (end of April) she made her arrival a week ago Sunday, January 31st, at 28 weeks. She is doing well but will spend the next few months in the neonatal intensive care unit. She’s in a great hospital and surrounded by awesome doctors, nurses, and specialists. We consider ourselves very lucky and quite blessed.
At the moment I’m spending most of my time at the hospital, learning about preemies and researching baby gear. As things quiet down over here (things will quiet down, right?) I plan on spending some time thinking about the future of this little blog network. Should you have any thoughts, comments or suggestions, I would love to hear from you (chris@fourleggedmedia.com). Of course if you wanted to just say “hi”, well that’s fine too. :)Take care and we will talk again soon.
Wags,
Chris
